What is Jectera and what is it used for?
It is a drug containing alprostadil, which has a prostaglandin E1- like effect . It accelerates blood flow by relaxing the smooth muscle cells in the walls of blood vessels. Due to this feature, more blood flows to the blood vessels going to the penis and erection of the penis becomes easier. This medicine is used with the advice of a doctor for the treatment of men who have difficulty in erection (erectile dysfunction).
Who does not use Jectera?
You should not use this medicine in the following cases:
Those who are allergic to the active ingredient alprostadil,
Priapism is an involuntary, prolonged erection without sexual stimulation. Those with sickle cell anemia, leukemia (blood cancer), multiple myeloma (bone cancer), or any other condition that increases the risk of priapism.
Those with penis prosthesis,
People with conditions such as severe heart disease or a recent stroke who must therefore avoid sexual activity.
People with wounds or curvatures on their penis

How to use Jectera?
Your doctor will definitely show you how to inject the medicine. Never try to inject the medicine into the penis on your own before being shown how to use it. If you have difficulty using your hands or your eyesight is poor, your partner should receive training for the injection.
How much jectera should be injected?
The dose to be applied may vary from person to person. Your doctor will determine this. The starting dose is usually between 1.25-2.5 micrograms. For most people, a dose of 5-20 micrograms is sufficient. Some people may need a higher dose. However, a dose higher than 40 micrograms is never used in one injection. You should not give more than 2 or 3 injections per week. There must be at least 24 hours between two injections.
How often can Jectera be used?
It should not be used more often than once in 24 hours. Additionally, it should be used at most three times a week. It is better to inject the needle into a different place on the penis with each use.
When does erection occur after Jectera injection?
After the injection into the penis, it will take some time for the penis to become erect. When injected at the right dose and in the right way, erection usually occurs within 15-20 minutes. The erection should not last longer than an hour. If erection lasts longer than 4 hours, inform your doctor immediately.
